Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, low tannin, medium acidity, dry

Jakot ("Tokaj" spelt backwards) is Blažič's Friulano (Sauvignonasse), from family vineyards straddling the Slovenian and Italian sides of Goriška Brda. Fermented in stainless steel after a few days of skin contact, it gains texture and a faint golden tint without becoming an orange wine. Pear, yellow apple and the variety's signature bitter-almond note, with chamomile and white pepper, a rounded mid-palate and a saline, gently grippy finish.

Serving: Serve at 9–11 °C.
