Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, medium acidity, dry

Weingut Jordan's old-vine Grüner Veltliner from Pulkau in the western Weinviertel, bottled as Weinviertel DAC Reserve after about a year in wooden casks and further time in bottle before release. It is a golden, generous Grüner: ripe yellow fruit and candied orange zest over the variety's white-pepper and herbal spice, with honeyed and lightly toasty notes from the wood. Fuller and rounder than the peppery young DAC, it suits richer food and gains depth with a few years in bottle.
