Tasting profile
Structure: medium-bodied, medium acidity, dry
Viñas del Vero's Chardonnay from DO Somontano in the Pyrenean foothills of Aragón. Most of the wine is cold-macerated and fermented in stainless steel, with about 15% barrel-fermented Chardonnay blended in for texture; it is not the house's separate fully barrel-fermented bottling. At about 13.5% alcohol it shows pineapple and tropical fruit, stone fruit, green apple and citrus over a floral note, with fresh acidity. A bright, good-value white for drinking young.
