Tasting profile
Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, high acidity, dry
Gloria S is Ver Sacrum's single-plot Garnacha from Los Chacayes in the Uco Valley, Mendoza: a high-density, goblet-trained planting from a 1947 massal selection. Made naturally, with about half whole clusters and indigenous yeasts, in 400-litre oak barrels and amphorae. Pale and fragrant, far from heavy Argentine reds: violet and rose, wild red berries and faint spice, with very fine, chalky tannin and lively acidity. Elegant and delicate, and it holds well for several years.
