Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry

The Grape Grinder's Pinotage, sold as "The Grinder", is a deliberately coffee-styled South African red: oak treatment brings out roasted coffee bean, dark chocolate and smoke over ripe plum and red-berry fruit with a leathery, spicy edge. Full-bodied and generous with rounded tannins. A crowd-pleasing braai wine for barbecued and smoked meats, made to drink in its first few years.
