Chardonnay

Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, high acidity, dry

Stella Bella's estate Chardonnay comes from its Luminosa and Forest Grove vineyards in cooler, coastal southern Margaret River. It is hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed, then wild-fermented in new and older French barriques, with only a small portion taken through malolactic. The nose mixes savoury nougat and gunflint with lime rind, grapefruit, white peach and jasmine. The palate is medium-bodied and driven by tension, with a saline, mineral finish. This is modern Margaret River Chardonnay: precise, well integrated and not heavy.
