Hanlin Hill is one of the Clare Valley's long-established Riesling sites, and the wine off it shows the region's defining combination: intense lime and lemon fruit carried on acidity fierce enough to keep the wine going for two decades. Young it is all citrus, green apple and white flowers over a dry, chalky finish. With age it turns toasty and honeyed with a waxy, lanolin depth, and Clare Riesling is one of the few whites where that transformation is the point rather than a decline. Light-bodied, unoaked and bone dry throughout.
