Tasting profile
Structure: full-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry
Peel Estate's flagship Shiraz from Will Nairn's original 1973 plantings on limestone soils at Baldivis, south of Perth, among the oldest Shiraz vines in Western Australia. Full-bodied and opulent at around 15% alcohol: ripe blackberry and plum, mocha and vanilla from oak, black pepper and licorice, and a firm, generous tannin frame that needs time to settle. A big warm-climate Shiraz with a reputation for ageing well.
