Tasting profile
Structure: full-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry
Dream Bird is the small-batch label winemaker Kym Carr started in 2015 in memory of her sister, using fruit from growers mostly in Geographe and Margaret River; 'Murder in the Dark' is its Malbec, drawn largely from the Ferguson Valley. It is dark and brooding in the glass, with blackberry, mulberry and plum fruit lifted by violet, clove and a wild-fennel note, and a plush, full palate of fine oak and grainy tannins. A natural partner for steak, lamb or anything off the grill.
