A single-clos bottling, and the concentration shows — more grip and more mineral drive than a straight Pinot Gris, with quince and dried pear over a smoky, almost waxy depth. Full-bodied and dense, with a dry to barely off-dry finish and enough structure to carry richer dishes than most Alsace whites manage. With time the fruit sweetness gives way to honey, ginger and a savoury edge.
