Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, medium tannin, high acidity, dry

Marqués de Murrieta's Reserva comes entirely from its own Finca Ygay estate in Rioja Alta, south of Logroño: mostly Tempranillo (around 80-87%) with Graciano, Mazuelo and a little Garnacha, aged about 18-21 months in American oak barrels and at least a year in bottle. Ripe blackberry, plum and cassis with cedar, cocoa and sweet spice, full-bodied with silky tannin and fresh acidity. A classically balanced Reserva that drinks well young and ages for a decade or more.
