Tasting profile
Structure: medium-bodied, high acidity, dry
Les Monsnières is a Chardonnay from Elsa and Cédric Ehrhart's Maison du Chancelier in Beaune, from a lieu-dit high on the Montagne de Beaune whose stony limestone is bottled under the rare Côte de Beaune appellation. It is fermented and aged in 228- and 350-litre barrels with long lees contact and no sulphur during vinification. Elegant and mineral-driven, with bright citrus, orchard fruit and subtle florals framed by discreet oak. Good with shellfish, roast chicken or white fish in butter sauce.
