Tasting profile

Structure: light-bodied, low tannin, high acidity

Elbling is one of the oldest grape varieties of the Mosel, grown here since Roman times and now mostly found on the upper river towards Luxembourg. This bottling comes from Hotel Kessler-Meyer, a Mosel hotel that has its own vineyards. Elbling makes light, low-alcohol whites with sharp acidity and a subtle aroma: green apple, lemon and lime zest, with a little pear and a stony, mineral finish. Unoaked, lean and refreshing, a wine for drinking young rather than for keeping.

Serving: Serve at 8–10 °C.
