Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, medium acidity, sweet

José Maria da Fonseca's Alambre 20 Anos is a Moscatel de Setúbal blended from about nineteen harvests, the youngest at least 20 years old and the oldest close to 80, all aged in old casks in the house cellars at Azeitão. Fortified Muscat of Alexandria turns, over decades in wood, into a deep amber wine of dried apricot, marmalade and fig with walnut, toffee and honey, sweet but lifted by freshness on the long finish. Robert Parker rated it 93.
