Pinot Gris Vendanges Tardives

Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, low tannin, medium acidity, sweet

A late-harvest Alsace Pinot Gris from the Adam family estate in Ammerschwihr, made from overripe grapes picked weeks after the main harvest and sometimes touched by noble rot. It is golden, sweet and opulent: mirabelle plum, ripe pear and honey with dried apricot and a smoky Pinot Gris edge. Concentrated and rich, with enough freshness to keep it balanced. The producer gives it 15 to 20 years of keeping potential. Serve at about 8°C with foie gras or blue cheese.
