Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry

Herdade da Candeeira's Colheita Superior red comes from vineyards among the cork oaks of the Serra d'Ossa near Redondo, in the Alentejo: a blend of Alicante Bouschet for colour and depth with Touriga Franca for perfume and smoother tannin, fermented in steel and given around six months in French oak. Deep ruby, with dark berry and plum, crunchy redcurrant, clove and cinnamon spice and a soft vanilla finish. A generous, easy-drinking Alentejo red made to be enjoyed within a few years of the vintage.

Serving: Serve at 15–17 °C.
