Meshach is the flagship of a family who have grown grapes in the Barossa for five generations, named for Grant Burge's great-grandfather and made only from old-vine parcels in seasons that warrant it. Long maturation in American oak gives it the vanilla-and-mocha frame that defines the traditional Barossa style. Blackberry and dark plum with mocha, licorice, vanilla and dark chocolate. Full-bodied with ripe, generous tannin that resolves into velvet over a decade. Unashamedly rich, and built on a scale that rewards patience.
