Tasting profile
Structure: medium-bodied, low tannin, high acidity, dry
Barbera grown on Golden Grove Estate's own vineyard at Ballandean. The Costanzo family have farmed this high-altitude site in Queensland's Granite Belt since 1946. As in Piedmont, the grape keeps its racy acidity and gentle tannins, and the cool granite country accentuates both. Sour cherry, red plum and raspberry with violet and dried-herb notes and a spicy finish. A juicy, food-friendly red that works best with tomato-based dishes.

Barbera
Barbera is a red grape from the Piedmont region of northwest Italy, long the everyday red of the area and now taken seriously enough to rival its noble neighbour Nebbiolo in quality-minded hands.
