Riflessi d'Epoca is one of the Gialdi-Brivio group's top Ticino Merlots, from low-yielding vineyards in the Sottoceneri in the south of the canton, aged for well over a year in French barriques. It is a powerful, polished Merlot: plum and black cherry with roasted, licorice-like notes, sweet spice and cedar from the oak, on a fresh palate with good structure and well-judged tannins. A wine for roasts and game that rewards a decade in the cellar.
