Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry

Iconti is Tamborini's Ticino DOC Merlot Riserva, made from Malcantone grapes and aged for about fifteen months in barrique. It is one of the canton's serious Merlots: ripe plum, blackberry and black cherry wrapped in mocha, dark chocolate and toasty oak, with a full body and rounded, ripe tannins. Critics regularly score it in the low to mid nineties. It opens a few years after the vintage and holds for about a decade.
