Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, high tannin, medium acidity, dry

A 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Blackwood Canyon, an old-vine Red Mountain block planted in 1984 just west of the Fidélitas estate. Bing cherry, blackberry and cassis meet baking spice, dark chocolate and toasted oak, carried by the dusty, firm tannins typical of Red Mountain. Full-bodied and structured, it needs a few years in bottle to soften and then drinks well for most of a decade.
