Oregon Pinot Noir made at commercial scale and for approachability — this is one of the more widely distributed Oregon labels, blended across the state rather than tied to a single vineyard. Worth setting expectations honestly. Oregon at its best, in Willamette Valley single sites, gives some of the most Burgundian Pinot outside France: earthy, structured, slow. This is a different proposition — the fruit-forward, polished end of the state's output, made to be opened rather than studied. Red cherry and raspberry with dried cranberry, a light earthy undertone and gentle oak. Medium-bodied with soft tannin and moderate acidity, smooth and easy through the finish. Reliable and pleasant on its own terms. Serve slightly cool with salmon, duck, mushrooms or a charcuterie board, and drink it young.
