Old Vines Chenin Blanc

Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, high acidity, dry

An unwooded, dry Chenin Blanc from old vines in the Robertson valley, from DuVon, the Robertson family winery that also bottles the Druiwetros Chenin. Older vines give more concentration than a standard Cape Chenin: quince, yellow apple and pear with citrus peel and honeysuckle over a firm, stony line of acidity. Made without oak, it keeps its freshness for a few years and gains a little honeyed depth in bottle.

Serving: Serve at 9–11 °C.
