Syrah Mauve is the IGP Ardèche Syrah of Domaine Jean-Claude Marsanne, the Mauves family estate best known for Saint-Joseph, from a small granite parcel planted in 2016 in the hills above the Rhône. A crushable northern-Rhône-style Syrah: blackberry and violet with black olive, bay leaf, smoky, meaty notes and cracked pepper, a lush mid-palate and fine, medium tannins.
