Tasting profile

Structure: light-bodied, low tannin, high acidity, dry

Giac'Potes is the easy-going red of Domaine Giachino, the Demeter-certified biodynamic estate run by brothers Frédéric and David Giachino at the foot of the Bauges massif in Savoie. It is an equal blend of Gamay and Mondeuse, aged on its fine lees and bottled at a light 11%: the Gamay brings crunchy red cherry and raspberry, while the Mondeuse adds dark berries, violet and a peppery, alpine edge. Light-bodied and fresh with soft tannins, it is made for drinking young and slightly cool (14–16°C) with charcuterie, Savoie sausages, white meats or a mature Tomme.
