Cuvée Les Chanvignons

Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry

A Chinon red from Domaine des Lavandières at Rivière, on the Vienne just east of Chinon, bottled at the property. Like nearly all Chinon it is Cabernet Franc: red berry and cherry fruit, a violet and pencil-shaving lift and a light leafy note, carried by medium tannins and fresh acidity. A supple, food-friendly Loire red for drinking over its first few years rather than for long keeping.

Serving: Serve at 15–17 °C.
