It is open-fermented, fortified with brandy spirit and aged for about eight years in old French oak before release in 500 ml bottles. It is rich and sweet, at around 19% alcohol, with raisin, fruitcake, plum and liquorice, notes of chocolate and caramel, and soft, rounded tannins.
