X Gran Vino de Rueda

Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, medium acidity, dry

X is Bodega Diez Siglos' top barrel-fermented Verdejo, bottled under Rueda's new Gran Vino de Rueda category for old-vine, low-yield, traceable wines. Fermentation in French oak and time on the lees give a fuller, creamier Verdejo than the usual crisp style: ripe pear, citrus peel and Verdejo's herbal fennel note over toasted almond and vanilla, with fresh acidity to carry it. Built to improve for a few years in bottle.

Serving: Serve at 10–12 °C.
