Tasting profile
Structure: medium-bodied, high acidity, dry
Ferzo is the top line of Citra, the large Abruzzo cooperative, and this Pecorino comes from hillside vineyards in the province of Chieti. Pecorino, a native white of the central Apennines, gives a fuller, more structured wine than most Adriatic whites while keeping fresh acidity: white peach, juicy pear, lemon and apple with yellow meadow flowers and a herbal edge, and a creamy texture from time on the lees. Medium-bodied at around 13%. Made for seafood and white meats in its first few years.
Serving: Serve at 9–11 °C.
