Tasting profile
Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry
Petit-Figeac is the second wine of Château Figeac, the Saint-Émilion premier grand cru classé on gravel outcrops next to Pomerol. Like the grand vin, it carries an unusually high share of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon alongside Merlot, rare for Saint-Émilion. Expect red currant and blackcurrant with graphite, cedar, dried herbs and a floral lift, on polished tannins and a fresh finish. More approachable young than Figeac, it still ages well for over a decade.
