Tasting profile
Structure: medium-bodied, high acidity, dry
Brokenwood's single-vineyard Chardonnay from the Barclay family's Wondalma vineyard near Tumbarumba, planted in 1992 at about 720 m in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains on basalt soils. Fermented and aged in French oak, part of it new, it shows white peach, grapefruit and nectarine with roasted cashew and a touch of honeycomb, held together by the high, cool-climate acidity of the site. Halliday rated the 2024 at 96 points.
