Beronia are known for a particular detail: they make their own barrels, using a mix of American oak staves with French oak heads, aiming for the vanilla and coconut of American wood without its heavier sweetness. Dried cherry and fig with vanilla, clove, leather and tobacco leaf as the fruit gives way to tertiary character. Full-bodied but silky rather than powerful, the tannin fully resolved by the years.
