Tasting profile
Structure: medium-bodied, low tannin, high acidity, dry
Benoît Lalanne, a former medical biologist who trained for three years with Richard Leroy, has made biodynamic Chenin at Faye-d'Anjou since 2022 from the Montbenault hillside. His Les Noëls de Montbenault comes from quartz-rich rhyolite, aged about 18 months and bottled unfiltered with no sulphur at any stage. Precise, saline and full of energy, with lemon, pear and quince, a smoky mineral edge and white flowers.
