Tasting profile
Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry
Weitblick is the barrique-aged top line of Alde Gott Winzer Schwarzwald, the Sasbachwalden growers' cooperative in Baden's Ortenau. This Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) trocken comes from vines around 25 years old cropped low (about 30 hl/ha) on Black Forest granite. Deep ruby, with fine cherry and red-berry fruit framed by vanilla and roasted barrique notes, and a warm finish touched with pepper and paprika; medium-bodied with ripe, supple tannin.
