Tasting profile
Structure: medium-bodied, high acidity, dry
Old-vine Chenin Blanc from a single bush-vine vineyard planted in 1961 on the slopes of Paarl; the name is Afrikaans for devil's thorn, the burrs that stick to your boots on the site. Whole-bunch pressed, fermented with native yeasts in older French barrels and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Lime, lemon and nectarine with a floral lift, dense fruit on the palate held by snappy acidity, and a dry, pure, quietly textured finish.
Serving: Serve at 9–11 °C.
