Chardonnay is Scarborough Wine Co's flagship, and The Obsessive bottling comes from the family's home vineyard on Gillards Road, Pokolbin, where the first vintage was made in 1987. It is a barrel-fermented Hunter Valley Chardonnay with white peach, nectarine and grapefruit over cashew and toasty oak, a creamy texture and a fresh, citrusy finish. It is good on release and best within about five to seven years.
