A rosé from Graubünden, the Swiss canton the Romans called Raetia — a high alpine growing area in the Rhine valley around Chur and Maienfeld, where Pinot Noir dominates the plantings and the altitude keeps acidity sharp. Pale in colour, with red berry and citrus over a stony, faintly herbal edge, light-bodied and dry with brisk acidity. Fresh and direct rather than textured, in the way alpine rosé tends to be. The blend is not recorded on this bottling.
