Tasting profile

Structure: light-bodied, medium tannin, high acidity, dry

PHI is De Bortoli's single-vineyard label from Lusatia Park, an 18-hectare mature vineyard at Woori Yallock in the cool Upper Yarra Valley that the family bought from the Shelmerdines in 2016. The name refers to the Greek letter for balance and proportion, and the style follows it: a light-bodied, precise Pinot Noir with red cherry, raspberry and rose petal over a savoury, forest-floor edge, fine tannin and bright acidity. Retailers suggest drinking it within about six years of release.

Serving: Serve at 13–15 °C.
