Tasting profile
Structure: medium-bodied, medium acidity, dry
A dry Chenin Blanc from Knorhoek's 10-hectare block of vines planted in 1980 on the Simonsberg. A light touch of oak gives it baked apple, pear and yellow stone fruit over a creamy, vanilla-tinged texture, with enough freshness to keep the finish clean. It is a substantial, food-friendly white with more depth than everyday Cape Chenin, and old-vine concentration lets it gain honeyed, nutty notes over its first several years.
Serving: Serve at 9–11 °C.
