Tasting profile
Structure: full-bodied, high tannin, high acidity, dry
A tiny estate bottling from Kiona: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Ranch at the End of the Road vineyard on Red Mountain, fermented as a single lot in a 390-litre puncheon. The 2020 made only 43 cases. Blackberry jam on toast and blueberry with orange zest, cigar box, dark chocolate and cinnamon. A sturdy wall of tannin is balanced by restrained alcohol and bright, juicy acidity, a build that rewards cellaring.
