Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, high acidity, off-dry

Henriques & Henriques of Câmara de Lobos ages its Verdelho for an average of twenty years in old casks, using Madeira's traditional canteiro method of slow warmth under the lodge roofs. Verdelho sits between the dry Sercial and the richer Bual: medium-dry, with dried apricot, orange peel, walnut and caramel over a smoky, spicy core, all lifted by Madeira's searing acidity and a very long finish. Like all old Madeira it is already fully mature when bottled and is almost indestructible, even once opened.
