Malvasia 10 Years Old

Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, low tannin, high acidity, sweet

Justino's (Vinhos Justino Henriques) is one of Madeira's largest shippers, and this 10 Years Old is a blend of Malvasia (Malmsey), the sweetest of the noble Madeira styles, with an average age of ten years in cask. Toffee, dried fig and orange marmalade with walnut, coffee and caramel, rich and sweet but cut by Madeira's piercing acidity. Already oxidatively aged, it keeps almost indefinitely, even after opening.
