Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, low tannin, high acidity, dry

Chardonnay from the Côte Chalonnaise, the stretch south of the Côte de Beaune where white Burgundy keeps its cut and loses its price tag. Green apple and citrus with white blossom and a chalky, almost flinty finish, restrained rather than buttery, with oak kept firmly in the background. Bright acidity gives it real drive. Lovely young and quite capable of gaining a nutty roundness over a few years in bottle.
