Tasting profile
Structure: light-bodied, low tannin, high acidity, dry
Cuvée Domaine is the core Côte Roannaise Gamay of Domaine des Pothiers at Villemontais, an old family estate on the upper Loire run by Romain Paire and farmed organically and biodynamically. The Gamay grows on granite slopes and is raised in wooden and concrete vats. It is fresh and fluid, with red cherry and raspberry, a touch of sweet spice and a smoky mineral edge over light, supple tannins.
