Ministre Impérial — from Comte Abbatucci in the Taravo valley of southern Corsica, an estate farmed biodynamically and known for preserving the island's near-extinct indigenous varieties. Sciaccarellu with Niellucciu: red cherry and wild strawberry over maquis herbs, smoke and a peppery, mineral lift, light-framed and perfumed rather than heavy. The cuvée is named for the family's Napoleonic ancestor.
