De Trafford's Blueprint Syrah comes from the Keermont slopes next to the estate in Stellenbosch's Blaauwklip valley, the source of the wine since its first crop in 2001. It is fermented with natural yeasts and a little whole-cluster fruit. Concentrated blueberry and black cherry come with clove, white pepper and hints of eucalyptus and fynbos, and crunchy tannins and fresh acidity carry it to a long finish.
