Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry

La Suerte de Arrayán is Bodegas Arrayán's old-vine Garnacha from the Méntrida hills west of Madrid, the wine with which winemaker Maite Sánchez helped put the region's Gredos-foothill Garnacha on the map. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in large, used oak, it is translucent and perfumed: raspberry, red cherry and strawberry with rosemary, white pepper and a granitic, mineral finish, more Burgundian than blockbuster.

Serving: Serve at 15–17 °C.
