Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, high acidity, dry

Weissburgunder Réserve is the estate-level (Gutswein) Pinot Blanc of Battenfeld-Spanier, H.O. Spanier's organic estate at Hohen-Sülzen in the Wonnegau, from limestone sites. It is fermented spontaneously and aged on fine lees in 500-litre barrels. Citrus, pear and orchard fruit with a light smoky, nutty touch from the wood, a creamy texture and lively, mineral acidity. A serious, dry Weissburgunder for white fish, poultry, asparagus or creamy dishes, with real ageing potential.
