Les Pyramides Petite Arvine

Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, low tannin, high acidity, dry

Petite Arvine from the Les Pyramides range of Adrian & Diego Mathier in Salgesch. The Mathier family farms around 25 hectares between Chamoson and Salgesch. Made in stainless steel to keep the variety's signature pure: rhubarb compote and grapefruit with white flowers and a cool, minty lift, ripe acidity and the salty, savoury finish that makes Petite Arvine the Valais's most distinctive white. Delicious young, and it gains honeyed depth with a few years in bottle. Serve at 10–12°C with lake fish, shellfish, asparagus or Alpine cheeses.
