Moselle Luxembourgeoise

**Moselle Luxembourgeoise** is Luxembourg's stretch of the Moselle river valley, running along the country's eastern border, and is home to nearly all of its wine. It is a small but well-organised region with a strong white-wine and sparkling tradition. **Wines & grapes** — Whites dominate, including Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Auxerrois, Elbling and Rivaner (Müller-Thurgau), and the region is known for its crisp Crémant de Luxembourg sparkling wines. **Character** — A cool northern climate and steep riverside slopes give wines that are light, fresh and high in acidity. **Good to know** — the wines share much of the character of neighbouring German and French Moselle vineyards.
